Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as a party approached the Supreme Judicial Council against the Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja and other members of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Tehreek-e-Insaf Secretary General Umar Ayub has filed a complaint through Barrister Ali Zafar in which the incidents before and after the elections have been mentioned.
The complaint alleges that the Election Commission failed to fulfill its constitutional duty of fair and transparent elections, and PTI’s polling agents were thrown out of the polling stations.
It said that nomination papers were snatched from our candidates, workers were abducted, the Election Commission failed to release the results, and keep a close eye on pre-poll rigging.
It was said in the complaint that Form 45 was also not provided in time, the Election Commission not only excluded PTI from the elections. But also take away the reserved seats.
The position adopted in the complaint was that the Chief Election Commissioner and the members failed to fulfill their constitutional responsibility, the Chief Election Commissioner and the members tried to undermine the mandate of Tehreek-e-Insaf and the court decisions, the Chief Election Commissioner and the members were guilty of misconduct. .
The complaint alleged that the Election Commissioner appointed politically appointed bureaucrats as Returning Officers (RO) and District Returning Officers (DRO). It was won by casting a thousand votes.
According to the text of the complaint, Liaquat Chatta also revealed that the Chief Election Commissioner and the Chief Justice are involved in the process, the Election Commission first deprived the PTI of its electoral symbol and then its nominated members of the party name. And more than twelve crore voters were affected by the actions of members.
In the petition, it was requested that an inquiry be made into the allegations against the Chief Election Commissioner and the members, and if the allegations are proved in the inquiry, the dismissal of the Chief Election Commissioner and the members should be recommended.
