LAHORE: The Iqbal Town Police of Lahore has registered a case of fraud worth crores after an alleged fake marriage with a British woman of Pakistani origin.
A British woman of Pakistani origin registered a case of fraud against her in the Iqbal Town police station.
In the FIR, the woman took the position that the accused Sajid married me in the presence of his sister and father and then the accused sold my house and collected Rs 2 crore 25 lakh, besides saving certificates worth Rs 60 lakh. Cashed and kept the money.
The woman took the stand that the accused also transferred a vehicle worth lakhs of rupees in her name and faked marriage to grab the money.
The woman of Pakistani origin told the police that upon contacting the accused and his family members threatened to kill him, the accused stole the money on the pretense of marriage.
On the request of the woman, accused Sajid, sister Sana, Maqsood Ahmad, Muhammad Hussain, Abdullah, and Amina have been named in the FIR.
