Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken notice of the illegal cutting of forests and has banned the delivery and movement of wood. Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Brigadier Retired Mossadeq Abbasi said that Seven teams have been formed. The teams will monitor and check the transportation of wood while strict action will be taken against those involved in illegal cutting. He said that despite the ban on cutting of forests in Mansehra district Butgram, an investigation has been started and suspended the District Forest Officer DFOs who allowed the cutting.
