KARACHI: The suspect who committed a robbery in a Rangers uniform in the Gulshan Iqbal area turned out to be an officer of the Rangers, the accused Zahid was arrested and money and other goods were recovered.
According to sources, the accused Zahid was on a month’s leave. Adil Jan, the owner of Pakwan Centre, was interrogated and told in his statement that he knew the Rangers officer who committed the robbery and had a dispute over money, and he took the money with him to Sarjani Town. It was taken and left.
The Rangers raided the house of the accused Rangers official on the identification of the plaintiff arrested him and recovered 18 lakh rupees in cash and other goods. Departmental action will also be taken against the accused official while action will also be taken against the plaintiff as he misrepresented the police and did not tell the facts.
