London: Protesters and police clashed on the streets of Leeds, UK, and set fire to a double-decker bus.

In the footage of these incidents, protesters can be seen overturning a police vehicle and hurling bricks at the police officers who stopped them.

Police say they are still trying to prevent an ‘incident of serious disorder’. It was confirmed that no one was injured at this stage.

“We want to make it clear that those responsible will be dealt with to the full extent of the law,” West Yorkshire Police said in a statement.

“People who may have gathered to witness these events are directed to stay away from the disturbance until the police bring the situation under control.”

The police believe that the ‘criminal minority instigated the incidents which were aimed at disrupting community relations.’

Police urged people not to pay attention to social media speculations.
