Islamabad: PTI founders Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi approached the Islamabad High Court against their arrest in the Tosha Khana case.
The application has been filed by Barrister Salman Safdar and Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry.
In the petition, the position was adopted that the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi were arrested without justification in fake cases for political revenge, political opponents of federal and Punjab governments want to keep the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in custody. Both the accused were arrested during the hearing of petitions against the summons notices.
According to the petitioners, political opponents are continuously using NAB for political revenge, and the higher courts have emphasized in their judgments that arrests cannot be made merely on registration of a case.
It was requested that the arrest should be ordered to be released as illegal, and the arrest should be subject to the orders of the High Court in any future case.
