Lahore: The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan was arrested by the police in the Jinnah House attack case.
Imran Khan was arrested in the case of terrorism, investigation police arrested the founder of PTI in the Jinnah House attack case.
Lahore Police reached Adiala Jail and formally arrested Imran Khan, he will be investigated under the provisions of inciting opposition to the state. According to police sources, PTI’s founder has been arrested in 12 cases including the Jinnah House attack on May 9.
The police requested the Rawalpindi court to transfer Imran Khan to Lahore, but the court did not allow the transfer due to security concerns.
According to the sources, on Monday, Imran Khan will appear in the anti-terrorism court of Lahore through video link, while the police will request the remand of the PTI founder for the investigation related to the Jinnah House attack.
According to police sources, a total of 16 cases are registered against Imran Khan, in 4 of which he has granted bail.
Meanwhile, Lahore Police completed today’s phase of interrogation of founder chairman PTI, and a 12-member team left Adiala Jail after interrogating Imran Khan.
According to jail sources, a 13-member team of Lahore Police questioned Imran Khan regarding the Jinnah House, Askari Tower, Shadman police station attack case, and in the investigation, digital evidence and the statements of the arrested accused were questioned.
According to the sources, the police investigation team also questioned PTI founder about the incidents that took place on May 9 and 10.
