Sahiwal: Mission to establish peace and order during Muharram. On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order visited Sahiwal. Commissioner Office Pakpattan reviewed the arrangements for the 782nd Urs of Hazrat Fariduddin Masood Ganj Shukar and Muharram arrangements in the division.
The Cabinet Committee inspected the main procession routes of Sahiwal and met the Peace Committee members and the administration.
Provincial Minister and Chairman Cabinet Committee Khawaja Salman Rafique presided over the meeting at Sahiwal Commissioner Office. Provincial Finance Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rahman, Agriculture Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani, Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan, Home Secretary Noor Ul Amin Mengal, IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar and Additional IGC CTD Waseem Syal were also present on this occasion. Commissioner Sahiwal Shoaib Iqbal Syed and RPO Mehboob Rasheed gave a briefing about the arrangements. He said that all security arrangements for all 1749 Majlis and 461 processions in the Sahiwal Division are complete.
