London: Newly elected British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer called for an immediate ceasefire and a two-state solution in Gaza in a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Netanyahu.
The two leaders had a detailed discussion on the Middle East including the current situation in Gaza and Lebanon. The focus of the conversation was Hamas and Hezbollah. Both leaders expressed concern over tensions in Gaza and Lebanon.
During the conversation, British Prime Minister Starmer said to his Israeli counterpart that all parties must act carefully to reduce the tension in the environment and end the tension.
The newly elected British Prime Minister called for a two-state solution as the need of the hour and demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Talking about the situation in Lebanon, the British Prime Minister said that he is concerned about Hezbollah’s attack on Israel. The parties have to act with patience and understanding.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu congratulated Keir Starmer on becoming the new Prime Minister of Great Britain and expressed his best wishes and expressed the hope that a cease-fire agreement in Gaza would be reached soon.
The Israeli Prime Minister also invited the new Prime Minister of Great Britain to visit his country.
