Peshawar/Bajur: Jamaat-e-Islami has demanded negotiations with the Taliban while opposing Operation Azam-e-Istehkam. Jamaat-e-Islami Central Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman addressed a grand rally at the Bajaud Sports Complex under the title “Operation rejected and we want peace”. The Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami said that Pakistan, especially the Pashtun belt, cannot afford any more operations. There should not be any military operations now. We want peace. He said that military operations create distance between the people and the army. The foreign policy should not be run by American leaders.
