Peshawar: The main suspect in the incident of throwing acid at women in a rickshaw was arrested on Town Abdra Road in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The police said that the accused named in the First Information Report (FIR) filed at the town police station, Tariq, has been arrested.
It was further said that the arrested accused was a close associate of the victim woman’s ex-husband, the accused Tariq was arrested from the Karkhanon Market area.
The police said that the motorcycle used in the incident has been recovered from the accused while the search for his other accomplice is on.
It should be noted that on July 7, unknown suspects escaped by throwing acid at women riding a rickshaw on Abdra Road in Peshawar.
Unknown suspects came on a motorcycle on Abdra Road and fled after throwing acid at women in a rickshaw.
The CCTV video of the incident on Abdra Road has also come out, in which it can be seen that the motorcycle-riding accused involved in an acid attack easily escaped from the spot after the incident.
