Election Tribunal Islamabad orders fine on Muslim League (N) leaders, re-submission of affidavit

Islamabad: Election Tribunal Islamabad fined Pakistan Muslim League (N) leaders Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Raja Khurram Nawaz 20,000 rupees and ordered them to resubmit their affidavits before the next hearing.

Islamabad Election Tribunal judge Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri heard the petitions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidates against alleged rigging in 3 constituencies of Islamabad.

Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri directed Shoaib Shaheen to read the procedures for the Election Tribunal.

Advocate Shoaib Shaheen argued that the Election Tribunal has to decide on the election appeals in 6 months, and the Tribunal has to hold hearings daily, not giving a date of more than 7 days.

Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri remarked that the tribunal has the power to suspend the membership by issuing a show cause notice, if there is a delay, a fine of one lakh rupees will be imposed, and the trial will also be daily, this is fundamental There is a principle.

The Election Tribunal asked the successful candidates of Muslim League (N) to submit their affidavits before the next hearing.
The Election Tribunal remarked that the three petitions will be heard daily, but each constituency will have separate hearings.

The tribunal ordered Raja Khurram Nawaz to submit the complete answer including forms 45 and 47 and imposed a fine of one thousand rupees for not submitting the answer on time.

Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry’s lawyer Sardar Taimur withdrew his lawyer’s letter, the Election Tribunal remarked that you cannot present arguments until you submit your lawyer’s letter.

Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry took the position that lawyers have to be hired, there is too much record, so time should be given to submit the reply.

The Election Tribunal also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry for not submitting the answer and ordered him to submit the answer by the day after tomorrow.

The Election Tribunal has adjourned the hearing on the petition regarding the alleged rigging in NA-48 to July 9, the hearing on the petition regarding the alleged rigging in NA-47 to July 10, while the hearing on the petition regarding the alleged rigging in NA-46 has been adjourned to July 11.
