ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to cancellation of the rally in Islamabad today.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar announced this development while holding a press conference in Islamabad along with senior party leaders Umar Ayub, Ali Muhammad Khan, Asad Qaiser, Rauf Hassan, and others.
Barrister Gauhar said that we called a meeting of our political committee today, today our one point agenda was that the meeting was going to be held in Islamabad, this meeting was for the protection of the constitution, we have decided to cancel the meeting today. are
He said that an NOC was issued after 4 months, and the NOC cannot be suspended by the Deputy Commissioner or the Chief Commissioner, we still filed a petition in the High Court, taking recourse to the law. Judges were not present in Abad High Court due to Saturday, so we thought that we would get permission to hold the rally.
On this occasion, the former speaker of the National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, said that the order beyond the constitution is being given under which law? We were told that you should not hold a rally without NOC, we believe that the country should be run under the constitution and law, the country cannot be run by the force of a gun.
