Former Labor leader Jeremy Carbone wins Islington seat as independent, George Galloway loses Rochdale seat

LONDON: Former Labor leader Jeremy Carbone won the Islington seat as an independent candidate, while Labor leader George Galloway lost his seat of Rochdale, the seat of George Galloway after the death of Labor leader Sir Tony Lloyd. Successfully elected, he has served three terms as an MP from 2003 to 2015.
