In the Supreme Court, a five-member larger bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan heard on the issue of forming election tribunals

Islamabad: The Supreme Court suspended the decision of the Lahore High Court and the notification of the Election Commission on the appeal of the Election Commission against the decision to form election tribunals.
The Supreme Court suspended the Election Commission’s April 26 notification.
The Supreme Court has written in the order that the process of consultation will be possible only after the appointment of the new Chief Justice. The Election Commission should consult immediately.
According to the order, the decision of the Lahore High Court and the notification issued will remain suspended until the next hearing, the case is kept pending.
The formation of tribunals was heard by a five-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, the bench includes Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Jamal Mandukhel, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, and Justice Aqeel Abbasi.
At the beginning of the hearing, the lawyer of the Election Commission said that the formation of election tribunals is the authority of the Election Commission.
On this occasion, PTI leaders objected to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, PTI lawyer Niazullah Niazi said that they wanted to put our objection on the record and that the case should be sent to another bench.
The lawyer said that my client objects that the Chief Justice should not sit on the bench, this case should be sent to another bench. Lawyers are giving arguments.
