KARACHI: After negotiations between Pakistan Petroleum Dealers and the government failed, the Petroleum Dealers Association announced to closing of petrol pumps across the country from 6 am on July 5.
President of the Petroleum Dealers Association Abdul Sami Khan has announced that the duration of the strike is possible for more than one day and has asked the dealers to keep petrol at the pumps till July 4.
Abdul Sami Khan said that pumps across the country will start running dry from tomorrow night, there will be no negotiations until the government withdraws it. 14,000 dealers across the country will shut down their pumps from July 5.
He said that citizens are requested to fill their vehicles with petrol.
President Petroleum Dealers Association said that there were meetings with the Finance Minister, Chairman FBR, and Chairman OGRA, but no result came out in the negotiations due to which they are on strike, double taxation is a violation of the Constitution.
