Lahore: Overreading by the WAPDA department continues, and citizens are protesting.
The WAPDA department has become an open bully, a bully elephant of Lahore.
The over-billing continues, thousands of people have been billed by adding several hundreds of extra units and then fraud is being done in the name of accuracy and people are being further disturbed. Similarly, the citizens are being disturbed by increasing unscheduled load shedding.
A unique protest was held in Main Bazaar Multan Colony under the leadership of Lahore Anjuman Tajran Abdul Qayyum Khan. Public, social, and civic circles have demanded a higher order from the WAPDA department to sack the meter readers who commit abuses and over-reading. So in this worst period of inflation, there is no such excess from people again.
