Sahiwal: The University Staff Welfare Association held a protest and general body meeting at the COMSATS University Sahiwal campus. It started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. After that, after discussing and considering the agenda points of the meeting, the following points were approved

Ad hoc relief allowance of five percent in 2023 and 25 percent in 2024 should be added to the salaries of employees from July so that they can easily meet the expenses in the current situation of inflation.

Immediate orders should be issued to transfer all staff-grade employees to BPS prevailing in federal universities and ministries.

The son or daughter or wife of the employee who died during employment should be employed according to the education in the university. Immediate employment orders should be issued to Waqas, son of deceased driver Mumtaz, and Malaika Azam, daughter of Mohammad Azam driver.

Transport allowance should be given to university staff-grade employees unless it is included. Bus fares to and from the university should be charged like Wahari and Lahore campuses (2000) per month.

In the previous convocation, all the participants passed a resolution condemning the insulting behavior of the management at the dinner table of the staff grade employees and it was decided not to participate in any invitational dinner of the Ayanda University administration.

Orders should be issued to release the minimum pension (12000) of the retired employees.
As per the approval of the principal seat, payment of off-day duty of Rs.800 per day to the employees should be ensured. And overtime on normal days should be kept separate from it

Sanction posts should be approved immediately according to the number of employees for regular promotions so that eligible employees who have been waiting for many years can get their rights.

The Annual Appraisal Form should be circulated to the employee concerned. And seniority lists should be publicized among all employees.

Employees’ withheld increments of previous years should be restored immediately. And the ongoing unfair, cruel, and defamatory behavior against the employees should be stopped.
All the participants demanded President Aswa Sahiwal Campus convey all the above demands to the campus administration principal seat and central Aswa leadership through email.
