Washington: The wax statue of former US President Abraham Lincoln in Washington DC has melted due to extreme heat.
The hard wax sculpture was installed in a school in northwest Washington in February 2024 and weighs 1,360 kilograms. The six-foot statue depicts the former US president seated in a chair.
Abraham Lincoln’s head and legs melted due to extreme heat. Seeing the statue melting, the school management immediately removed it, as people were taking pictures of the melting statue and making it viral on social media.
This is not the first time the statue has melted, but the statue of Abraham Lincoln has melted in the past.
