Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division has imposed an immediate ban on all types of construction in Malika Kohsar Murree.
According to the notification issued by the office of Commissioner Rawalpindi Aamir Khattak, he has said that the construction causes soil erosion, encroachment, deforestation and landslides in Murree.
He said that the ban has been imposed under Section 4-D of the Punjab Civil Administration Act and the ban will remain in force for 90 days or till the completion of the Murree Master Plan.
The notification stated that the ban will not apply to government constructions and projects while the ban will also be applicable on the sides of the Murree Expressway.
