ISLAMABAD: Former Speaker National Assembly and central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Asad Qaiser met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman in which it was decided to establish a political committee between the two parties.
Tehreek-e-Insaf Central Deputy Secretary Information Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai also participated in the meeting. The committee will address concerns between the two parties and determine points for future political strategy.
The two leaders discussed the political situation across the country, while the two leaders expressed concern over the law and order situation across the country, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It was agreed between the two parties to play the role of strong opposition together in the National Assembly and to play their role in establishing brotherly relations with Afghanistan. He said that Afghanistan is our neighboring brotherly country and we want good and ideal relations with it.
In the meeting, there was also a demand to establish an economic corridor at the crossing points with Afghanistan, trade activities will bring economic stability to the region and provide employment to the people.
Both parties rejected the budget as an IMF budget and an anti-people budget.
