Peshawar: A young boy shot dead a female passenger while traveling in a rickshaw in Peshawar city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and also committed suicide.
According to the Peshawar Police, the accident took place on Saturday in Aman Chowk within the limits of Thana Sharqi.
The police said that there was an argument between Masmi Gul Badin and a girl named Zaramin who was riding in the rickshaw, at which the boy opened fire.
After shooting at the girl, Ms. Gul Badin also shot herself and committed suicide.
Both persons are said to belong to Chitral.
The boy’s cousin said that for the past year, Msmi Gul Badin had been asking for the relationship of the girl, but the girl’s family had refused to give the relationship.
According to close relatives, the girl was pursuing her technician diploma in Peshawar.
The rickshaw driver tried to take them to the hospital but both died on the way.
DSP Cantt Amjad Khan said that after receiving the information about the incident, the police have taken the bodies into custody and shifted them for post-mortem.
