Landi Kotal: Journalist Jibran Khalil was killed by unknown persons in the Landi Kotal area of Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
District Police Officer Salim Abbas said that journalist and ex-president of Landi Kotal Press Club Muhammad Gibran was killed by unknown persons in Hudud police station, Landi Kotal area of Mazarina.
According to the police, Khalil Gibran was going home in a car along with advocate Sajjad when his car broke down and during that time the accused in the motor car took him out of the car and opened fire and fled.
As a result of the firing, Khalil Gibran died on the spot while Advocate Sajjad was injured and was shifted to the hospital for medical assistance. According to the police, Khalil Gibran had received threats from terrorists.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur condemned the killing of the journalist and taking notice of it directed the police to take necessary action for the immediate arrest of the elements involved in the firing.
