The high court’s order to burn crop residue was also burnt by the farmers

Waheed, Bureau Chief Dawn TV + Daily Dawn

Sahiwal: Pakistan including Pakistan is facing a dire situation like environmental pollution every day, to remedy which the government is taking various measures along with planting millions of trees. Given the growing threat of environmental pollution, the Supreme Court has imposed a complete ban on crop residue burning, for the implementation of which the Punjab government has implemented Section 144 regarding crop residue burning as well as against arsonists. Satellite technology is also being used for legal action. Despite this, the process of setting fire to the remains of the corn crop continues. Smoke is everywhere, despite this, the Department of Agriculture and other law enforcement agencies have taken a complete look. The public and social circles have demanded that Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal take notice of the issue of setting fire to crop residue.
