ISLAMABAD: Thieves came by theft, not by manipulation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Minister of National Security, Food and Research has revealed the import of wheat in the country.
Sources said that at the time of wheat import in March, the Prime Minister himself was the Minister in charge of the Food Ministry. He gave the additional portfolio of National Food Security to Federal Minister Rana Tanveer on April 3. The Minister of Defense was the Minister in charge of Food.
The Prime Minister had given OSD to Secretary Food Muhammad Asif on the issue of wheat import.
According to the official data, 27 lakh 58 thousand 226 metric tons of wheat were imported during the monitoring period.
It should be noted that despite the presence of abundant reserves of wheat in the country, new revelations are coming out every day in the case of large-scale import of wheat during the caretaker government.
