Geneva: The United Nations World Union on Information Technology has selected the Chief Technical Officer of Punjab Safe Cities Authority Dr. Yasir Niaz Khan for the WSIS Prize.
1049 candidates from all over the world sent their projects for the award. Among them, Dr. Yasir Niaz Khan’s project received the highest number of votes worldwide and was selected for the award.
Chief Technical Officer Punjab Safe City was selected for reforms in the agriculture sector using artificial intelligence. The World Summit on the Information Society congratulated and paid tribute to Dr. Yasir Niaz Khan for being selected for the Global Award through a special message.
Earlier, A D Safe City Ahsan Yunus won the World Police Summit and SSP Rafat Bukhari the IAWP award. Chief Technical Officer Punjab Safe City will be awarded in Geneva in the last week of May.
