London: Labour’s Sadiq Khan has won a historic third term as Mayor of London, defeating the ruling Tory party’s Susan Hall.
He received 1,088,000 votes (43.7%) for re-election, a majority of 275,000 compared to Mrs Susan Hall, who received just under 812,000 votes (32.6%).
Sadiq Khan and Ms Susan Hall clashed repeatedly during the campaign, fighting over knife crime and concerns over their handling of pro-Palestinian marches in the capital.
The blind support of Israel left the ruling Tory party nowhere and they faced the worst defeat in history. In the local elections of the United Kingdom, the opposition Labor Party took the field, with more than 1,000 seats due to the additional 200 seats, the Labor Party is number one.
The Liberal Democrats came second in British local elections with 94 additional seats.
The ruling Conservatives suffered a historic defeat, losing nearly 450 seats and falling to third place, while many independent candidates also won.
Due to the 88 additional seats of the independent candidate, the number has reached almost two hundred, the Green Party also got around 70 additional seats, and the number of councilors reached 159.
The Labor Party was defeated in its stronghold of Bradford, with the Labor Party taking 10 seats, and the Independent winning 9.
