Islamabad: Two strong candidates have emerged for the appointment of the governor in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the largest provinces of the country. Recently, sources have told Nawa-i-waqt London, Dawn, and Dawn TV, that PPP Sardar Saleem Haider. Punjab and Faisal Karim Kundi are likely to be made the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto met Prime Minister Shibaz Sharif in which the political situation of the country was discussed.
In the meeting between the two leaders, consultations were also held on the appointment of governors of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Reliable sources say that PPP Sardar Saleem Haider is likely to be appointed as the Governor of Punjab, who was earlier elected Member of the National Assembly from Attock on a PPP ticket in 2008.
He has also served as Minister of Defense Production in Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani’s cabinet in 2008.
Similarly, Faisal Karim Kundi of PPP is likely to be appointed governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Faisal Karim Kundi has been the Deputy Speaker in the 2008 National Assembly while he has worked as an advisor to the Prime Minister in the PDM government.
