Varanasi: India’s famous comedian Shyam Rangela, who is especially famous for impersonating Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has announced to contest elections against him.
According to Indian NDTV, Shyam Rangela announced his decision to contest the election from Varanasi in the state of Uttar Pradesh on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
He wrote in his post that ‘I am very excited about the love I have received from you after the announcement of contesting from Varanasi. I will convey my thoughts and information regarding my nomination papers to you through a video message after I reach Varanasi.
Earlier in one of his posts, Shyam Rangela had said ‘I will contest the election from Varanasi because nowadays nobody is sure who will withdraw the nomination papers when.’
