LONDON: Outside an East London railway station, a man carrying a sword took to the road and injured several people.
5 people including 2 police personnel were seriously injured due to the sword attack of the madman, who has been shifted to a local hospital.
According to London Mayor Sadiq Khan, the police have detained the suspect and started the investigation.
A man has attacked several people, including two police officers, with a sword in East London.
The ambulance service says five people have been taken to hospital.
Police say they were called shortly before 07:00 BST to reports of a car being driven into a house in Hainault.
The suspect attacked “other members of the public and two officers”.
A 36-year-old man is in custody and police say the incident is not terror-related.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan praised the police and emergency services for “running into danger to protect others”.
