Wi-Fi doesn’t connect, even if it does, it doesn’t open any mobile apps or websites in the browser.

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz announced two days ago that free Wi-Fi has been provided at 50 places in Lahore.
These places include the city’s most famous business highway MM Alam Road, Gulbarg Main Market, and Siddiq Trade Centre, along with many educational institutions and hospitals.
How is this facility useful for people? Is Wi-Fi available or not? And if available, is its speed usable? To know the answers to these questions, some of these places were examined to see how much the announcement of the Chief Minister Punjab is being implemented.
There was Wi-Fi called ‘CM Maryam Nawaz Free WIFI’ on MM Alam Road but repeated attempts to connect to the mobile failed.
Similarly in Gulberg’s main market also Wi-Fi was showing with this name but here it was not connecting. Even if it was happening, it made it difficult to use the Internet.
When I went to Siddique Trade Center and tried to find this Wi-Fi from my mobile, the Wi-Fi by this name did not appear there.
When the citizens discussed about this, most of the citizens were not aware of this facility, however, those who were aware said that they would try to connect to Wi-Fi to take advantage of this facility provided by the government. If you do, it won’t connect. Even if it does, it doesn’t open a mobile app or a website in the browser.
This project is being completed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) on behalf of the Government of Punjab.
In Punjab, in 2016, during the reign of Shehbaz Sharif, the free-fi-fi facility was launched in Lahore. Even then, similar questions were raised about the usability of this facility.
