Arrest warrant issued for Mahmood Khan Achakzai, ‘interfering with government

Quetta: Judicial Magistrate Quetta has issued an arrest warrant for Mahmood Khan Achakzai, head of the Pashtun Khwa Milli Awami Party and Opposition Alliance.
Mahmood Achakzai’s house was raided by the police after he became the candidate of the opposition parties for the election of the President of Pakistan.
After that, the district administration registered a case against him for interfering in government affairs.
After this incident, the leaders of the Pashtun Khawa Milli Awami Party said that Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s house was raided and retaliated against for stating the facts against the rigging of the recent elections in the National Assembly session and the persons responsible for it.
The Judicial Magistrate has issued a warrant for his non-appearance in a case filed by the district administration and directed the police to arrest Mahmood Khan Achakzai and produce him on April 27.
Mehmood Khan is also the head of the alliance formed by the opposition parties against the Achakzai government under the name of ‘Tehreek Tahafuz Ayin’.
Reaction to the Constitution Protection Movement
Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai, the spokesperson of the opposition alliance Tehreek Tahafuz Ayin, while reacting to the issuance of the arrest warrant, said that the entire alliance of Tehreek Tahafuz Ayin Pakistan condemns this action of the administration.
He said in his statement, “We want to convince them that we will not back down from our goal, because of which the state machinery is using these high tactics against us.”
This movement of public sovereignty and supremacy of the constitution and law will continue like this.
