Riyadh: The first liquor store was opened in the Saudi capital Riyadh
The Saudi government has not officially confirmed the opening of bars in the capital, but diplomats must obtain a permit through a special app.
Reports say that no guest or person under 21 will be allowed to enter the store while photography and use of mobile phones will also be banned in the store.
The British news agency Reuters claimed in its report that the country’s first alcohol store in the capital Riyadh will be opened exclusively for non-Muslim diplomats.
Consumers have to register through the mobile app to purchase liquor and get a clearance code from the Ministry of External Affairs, the consumers will be provided with liquor according to their monthly quota.
