KARACHI: The Petroleum Dealers Association has announced a strike against deregulating the prices of petroleum products.
Chairman Petroleum Dealers Association Abdul Sami Khan said during the news conference that if the government deregulates, then they will close the petrol pumps across the country and go on strike. Abdul Sami Khan said that due to deregulation, 20 Oil will be sold at a higher price of rupees, oil smuggling is already a big problem, and the fee will increase further.
He said that 75% of the oil industry is controlled by three major oil marketing companies, and deregulation will establish the monopoly of major companies on oil prices, Abdul Sami Khan suggested to the government that if an agreement with Iran People will benefit.
