Sahiwal: Kisan Board District Sahiwal protested against the anti-farmer policies of the government outside the DC office with their agricultural implements, tractors, and trolleys. Central President of Kisan Board Sardar Zafar Hussain Khan said that inflation has increased several times since last year. Fertilizer prices have doubled. Diesel and agricultural drugs have also become expensive, but the government declared the price of wheat to be Rs.3900 per maund last year and the government is not even buying wheat from the farmers. The wheat of the farmers is spoiling in the fields. The government has imported expensive wheat. Farmers are suffering from oppression. Rana Zahid Farooq district president said that the price of electricity for the tube well has increased cruelly and over-billing from the farmers is going on. Fertilizer companies have doubled the price of urea fertilizer in one year. No one is going to ask. The government is killing the farmers economically and the farmers have been forced to commit suicide. The government has completely failed to provide relief to the farmers. The government should come to its senses and stop the economic killing of farmers. Tayyab Mehmood Baloch, Sardar Liaqat Mardana, Cho Hudri Saeed Randhawa, and Chohadry Feroze Anis Gujjar also addressed the protest and demanded to give bardana to the farmers.
