Islamabad: A case has been registered under Section 365B of the Pakistan Penal Code against Abdul Wahid, the accused of the alleged kidnapping of Hanan Abdullah Al-Bashir, a woman belonging to the Saudi royal family. This section deals with the abduction of a woman to force her into marriage.
Saudi diplomat Badrul Haribi has lodged an FIR at Margalla Police Station in Islamabad through the online FIR registration system.
It has been stated in the FIR that Abdul Wahid Shahid Khan kidnapped the Saudi national Hanan Abdullah Al Bashir from the F8 area of Islamabad. It has been requested in the FIR that the accused should be arrested the abductor should be recovered and the accused should be punished.
Complainant Badrul Haribi also provided the passport numbers of both Abdul Wahid and Hunan. The 37-year-old Saudi woman is an officer in a bank in Saudi Arabia and Abdul Wahid, 22, of Luerdir, was a driver with the woman.
Another senior police officer, on condition of anonymity, said that the Saudi woman had come to Der Lower earlier on a visit visa after becoming friends with Abdul Ahad.
Sources say that the parents were unhappy with the actions of their son and convinced them to send the woman back to Saudi Arabia, after which the woman went back to Saudi Arabia. Allegedly, the contact was restored even after that and the Saudi woman again came to her friend’s house in the Lower Dir area of Lower Dir on the 25th of Ramadan, after which both of them disappeared mysteriously.
Taking strict notice of this incident, the federal government has ordered the Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to immediately extradite the woman.
After the registration of the case, the SSPCIA branch of Islamabad Police along with its personnel went out with the local police in Lower Dir for the last two days, but after failure, the Islamabad Police went back.
A senior officer of KP Police told Daan TV that despite all efforts, no trace of the kidnapped woman was found. The Saudi woman came to Lower Dir but now the local youth and the Saudi woman are not in Lower Dir.
Sources say that the kidnapped woman belongs to the royal family of Saudi Arabia. The police arrested several people from Abdul Wahid’s house.
The elders of Lower Dir Khal are also searching for the Saudi woman, but so far they have not been able to find any trace.
It has been learned from the sources that the missing Saudi woman is also married to a local youth from Lower Dir. But it could not be confirmed at the official level.
