Brussels: The European Union has given an ultimatum to the company on TikTok’s new app.
The European Commission has threatened to suspend Tiktok’s new app ‘The TikTok Lite reward program and ordered the Chinese-owned company to respond within 24 hours.
The European Commission has ordered Chinese-owned tech giant TikTok to submit its report within 24 hours assessing the potential health risks posed by its new app, ‘TikTok Lite’, and said it would otherwise be banned. Penalties will be faced.
‘TikTok Lite’ is a stripped-down version of TikTok, which was launched in France and Spain last March. It is suitable for slow internet connection and also consumes very little memory.
