Dawn Staff Reporter + Dawn TV Report

ISLAMABAD: Founder Chairman PTI has written a letter to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in which he has pointed out the state’s oppression of Tehreek-e-Insaaf workers and demanded justice.

PTI released the letter to the media which consists of four pages. Regarding the issuance of the letter, PTI’s Central Information Secretary Rauf Hassan held a press conference and said that a letter had been written to the Chief Justice of Pakistan on behalf of Imran Khan at the request of the founding chairman. The Chief Justice is responsible for the injustice that is being done to our colleagues, neither did the Chief Justice do justice himself nor did he get justice from the subordinate courts.
He said that the matter has become very serious, for the past many days after the announcement of by-elections, all our workers are being raided, ill-treatment of workers’ families has become a norm, and the oppression of the old agenda of powerful people. It is being taken forward, their effort is to make the by-election relevant, different ROs are being made to sign blank papers, and those who do not agree are being caught and tortured.
Rauf Hasan said that the occupying people are targeting PTI in every way, and whatever they do to us will not weaken their morale, the internet was suspended on February 8 and now they are promising to stop the internet services. It has been reported that Sanam Javed and Aliya have been re-arrested and shifted to Sargodha. Yes, since one year these girls have been subjected to the oppression of the state. We thought that the martial law of General Zia could not come to a bad era, but in the current situation, this era has also been left behind. We demand that our prisoners Be freed from the oppression of the state.
Rauf Hasan said that the situation of the Judiciary for some time has been written in the letter. Yes, NAB does not have any evidence of the Tosha Khana case of the Sharif brothers, while NAB cases were open and shut cases, a retired general has been placed on NAB, which has further affected the reputation of NAB.

Rauf Hasan said that the Bahawalnagar tragedy also proved that whoever has the power is the law. What happened to the police organization in this tragedy? Here the law is in the hands of the powerful, who are not powerful and cannot demand justice. We have also mentioned more lawlessness and conditions in the letter.
