World leaders called for decision-making based on restraint to avoid further instability in the region

Brussels: European Union leaders have decided to impose new sanctions on Iran after the attack on Israel.
According to the British news agency Reuters, after Iran’s missile and drone attack on Israel, world powers have mobilized to stop tensions in the Middle East.
This is the first meeting of the 27 national leaders of the European Union after Iran attacks Israel and the Gaza war that has been going on for more than six months.
At the meeting, EU leaders condemned the Iranian attack reiterated their commitment to Israel’s security, and urged all parties to prevent further escalation in the region, including in Lebanon.
They said in a joint statement that the European Union will take steps for further sanctions against Iran, especially on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and missiles.
