Karachi: Two days before Eid-ul-Fitr, a car ran over a mother and her 8-year-old child in Gulshan Iqbal Block 7 and ran away from the farmhouse of former SSP and current Member of Provincial Assembly Farooq Awan in Memon Goth. Gulshan Iqbal Investigation. The police recovered it.
The child who was injured in the accident died on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr while the condition of the woman is critical and she is in a coma.
On April 8, 2024, a woman Nooriya Bibi’s wife Syed Muhammad Agha, and her 8-year-old son Syed Yusuf Agha were injured when a speeding car hit a foreign fast food restaurant on Allama Shabir Usmani Road in the limits of Gulshan Iqbal Police Station. The responsible driver fled from the spot along with the vehicle.
After getting the CCTV footage of the accident, Syed Ahmedullah son of Syed Abdullah Agha, the brother-in-law of the injured woman, registered the case No. 235/24 under section 337G in Gulshan Iqbal police station on April 9.
Syed Ahmadullah, the plaintiff in the case, stated in his statement that he resides in House No. E-97 Agha House, Block 7, Gulshan Iqbal, does his business. Allama Shabbir Osmani was crossing the road from Road Block 7 Gulshan Iqbal when the driver of the vehicle No. AX-695 silver colored Mercedes coming from Maskan Chowrangi was driving very negligently. came and ran away trampling them while crossing the road, which injured Bibi Nooriya and 8-year-old Syed Yusuf Agha, they were taken to the hospital.
The injured Syed Yusuf died in a private hospital on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr while being treated for his injuries while the condition of the injured woman is also critical and she is in a coma.
On Sunday, Inspector Sarfraz of Gulshan Iqbal Investigation Police raided a farmhouse in Memon Goth area along with a police party and recovered the said Mercedes.
The employees of the farm house immediately informed the owner of the farm house about the police raid, on which the owner of the farm house, former SSP and current Member of the Provincial Assembly Farooq Awan, reached the spot and found out the details of the raid.
Member of the Provincial Assembly Farooq Awan said this vehicle was parked at my farmhouse without my knowledge. One of my friends, Zahid Awan, has the job of buying and selling vehicles in Japan.
My friend ordered cars from Japan and parked them at my farm house, my employee told me that the police have come to the farm house and came to know about the incident.
The driver responsible for the accident, Furqan, has not been arrested yet, the police party raided the house of Zahid Awan in Gulshan Iqbal Block 7, but no one was present at the house, the police are conducting raids in search of the driver, according to police sources. The owner of the vehicle, Zahid Awan, is a relative of the former SSP, who has been sent to a secret location to avoid arrest.
