London: The British Prime Minister’s support for Israel cost him dearly. The Prime Minister’s residence in Britain, 10 Downing Street, became a victim of controversy over his support for Israel.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sonak held an Eid Mulan event in Ten Downing Street, but business leaders including leaders of the ruling Conservative Party have also boycotted the Eid Mulan party.
Two other Tory MPs, including Baroness Saeeda Warsi, also plan to boycott the Eid-ul-Fitr party, the BBC says, citing Downing Street’s boycott of the Eid-ul-Fitr party because the government supports Israel.
The annual event, hosted by Prime Minister Rishi Singh, was scheduled to take place in Downing Street on Monday. Downing Street sources have privately expressed concern about the numbers.
Baroness Warsi resigned as foreign secretary in David Cameron’s cabinet in 2014, saying the government’s policy on Gaza was “morally indefensible”.
