ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Bar Council termed the reference filed in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) against Islamabad High Court’s senior-most judge Mohsin Akhtar Kayani as ‘baseless’ and ‘fabricated’. Condemned.
A day ago it was revealed that a former official of the Islamabad High Court Bar Association filed an application against Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC).
It is important here that Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani was among the 6 judges of the Islamabad High Court who wrote a letter to the Supreme Judicial Council regarding the alleged interference and pressure of intelligence agencies in the work of judges.
Islamabad Bar Council Vice Chairman Adil Aziz Qazi Advocate while reacting to the reference filed against Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said in his video statement that he strongly condemns the filed reference. Adil Aziz Qazi Advocate said that Ramadan Mubarak It is the holy month of , all I can say is that God curse the liars, unfortunately there are black sheep in our bar too who do this for a few bucks.
He said that the text written in the reference is a fabricated story, these scumbags and black sheep are unfortunately members of our bar, the lawyer who filed the reference contested 17 bar elections and got 200/250.
Adil Aziz Qazi Advocate said that our judges take decisions on merit and we trust them, we stand for everything of law and rule of law.
