China changed the names of 30 Indian villages, rivers, and lakes

China: China has changed the names of 30 Indian villages, rivers, and lakes that claim sovereignty over the disputed border area.

According to media reports, China has changed the name of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh to Zingnan amid border tensions with India. 30 other areas adjacent to Zingnan were also renamed.

According to China’s Ministry of Civil Affairs, China has standardized the names of 30 places in Arunachal Pradesh’s Chinese name Xingnan. Tension has increased between China and India regarding the disputed border areas.
