The Miss Universe Organization rejected the Saudi model’s claim to participate in the beauty pageant

London: The Miss Universe Organization, a multinational body, has denied recent reports of a Saudi model participating in the 2024 beauty pageant.
According to the report of Al Arabiya English and Dawn English, the organization clarified that Saudi Arabia has not yet joined the list of countries that have been confirmed to participate in this year’s Miss Universe pageant.
“We are currently going through a rigorous screening process to qualify candidates and represent the competition,” the statement said.
The statement added that ‘Saudi Arabia cannot participate in the competition until it is confirmed by our committee.’ Meanwhile, Saudi model Rumi Al-Qahtani claimed on the social media platform Instagram that she will be the first Saudi woman to participate in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.
