Riyadh: Portuguese football star and Saudi club Nasr player Cristiano Ronaldo has supported the hosting of the 2034 Football World Cup in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo posted a video on his official X account supporting Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the FIFA World Cup.
“I am proud to support the dreams of a nation that hopes to bring the Football World Cup 2034 to Saudi Arabia,” he wrote. Saudi Arabia has expressed its intention to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
The state has given special attention to sports since 2018. So far, it has hosted more than 50 international events, including football, golf, digital sports, tennis, horse riding and other sports events hosted by the country at the global level.
It should be noted that the Kingdom will host the Clubs World Cup in 2023 and the finals of the Asian Cup in 2027.
