Eight judges, including the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, received suspicious ‘powder’ letters

Judges receive suspicious letters that mention anthrax: Chief Justice Amir Farooq

Islamabad: All the eight judges of Islamabad High Court have received suspicious envelopes through post. When the staff opened the envelope, suspicious powder was also found in it. Judges found suspicious letters in which anthrax was mentioned: Chief Justice Amir Farooq.
The Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court has revealed that he and other judges received suspicious letters, which allege anthrax.
The Islamabad High Court immediately summoned IG Islamabad and DIG Security and issued instructions to the police to register a case under terrorism provisions.
On Tuesday, 8 judges including Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq received suspicious letters. When a judge’s staff opened the letter, there was powder inside. A team of experts from Islamabad Police reached the Islamabad High Court.
