Karachi: Shawwal moon is likely to be sighted in Pakistan on Tuesday, April 9.
According to the Department of Meteorology, the birth of the new moon will be on April 8 at 11:21 pm and on April 9, the age of the moon will be 19 to 20 hours, while the duration of the moon’s appearance on the horizon will be more than 50 minutes after sunset.
In most parts of the country, including the southern regions, the forecast on April 9 is likely to remain clear, while the forecast may be cloudy in the northern regions.
The Meteorological Department says that if the moon is visible on April 9, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 10.
