Paris: The incidents of Islamophobia are continuously increasing in France. Mosques are being desecrated in France with regular planning during Ramadan, due to which there is great anger in the Muslim community. In just one week in France, 3 mosques in two different cities were targeted. A pig’s head was thrown outside one mosque while worshipers were attacked and harassed at two.
Muslim leaders say that pork is forbidden in Islam. Extremists threw the head of a forbidden animal in a sacred place like a mosque to hurt the feelings of Muslims.
The police have so far failed to arrest the culprits behind this heinous act. Interior Minister Gerald Darmanian condemned the incident and said it was an unacceptable act.
French Interior Minister Gérald Darman has condemned the “unacceptable act” against the Muslim community after the head of a boar (an animal considered unclean in Islam) was found near a mosque in the eastern part of the country.
An investigation into ‘incitement to racial hatred’ was launched after worshipers at a mosque in a village in the Vosges region discovered the animal’s head, the French interior minister tweeted late on social media app X (formerly Twitter). I said two other mosques in northern France were also ‘desecrated’.
“This weekend, mosques were desecrated in Valencians and Fresne-sur-Esco,” he said. A mosque in Vosges was also targeted. I strongly condemn these unacceptable acts against our fellow Muslims.
It should be noted that these events took place during the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims.
