Holi festival in India, mosques covered with plastic and tarpaulins

Uttar Pradesh: Holi festival in India, mosques covered with plastic and tarps. Many mosques were covered with plastic and tarps ahead of Holi processions in India, a so-called democracy contender and insecure for minorities.
Mosques in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh have been covered with plastic sheets and tarpaulins before the procession on the occasion of the festival of Holi. The Indian police say that this action was taken because of the concerns of religious tension. Mosques in two districts of Uttar Pradesh, Aligarh, and Sambhal, were also covered with plastic sheets and tarpaulins.
Police say that there was a fear of color being thrown on the mosques during the Holi procession. That is why the mosques have been protected and covered.
