ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has admitted in court documents that it was ordered by the Ministry of Interior to shut down social media platform X. Shutdown of social media platform X (formerly Twitter) in Pakistan. It is currently in its fifth week. The country’s newly elected government has been reluctant to give a clear answer to the censorship of the micro-blogging website X, owned by American billionaire Elon Musk.
